The Land of $400 Sneakers

A very interesting read via Hypebeast about Brazil's streetwear and sneaker culture.  This is interesting because you get to see what it is to be a sneakerhead in a country where retail price can be twice as much as it is here in the states due to tax tariffs and shipping costs.

Other interesting point are how visible technology can showcase wealth.  Or how football apparel isn't as hot as you would think.  Take a read and learn a little more about Brazil.

Plastc Card

The world is slowly transforming into a totally digital age...even for your debit cards.  Plastc Card has the ability to digitally load all of your debit/credit cards onto one interface.  Forget the days of carrying a packed wallet because of too many cards...this device will solve all of that.

The only downfall I see at first glance is the battery life.  What happens when you're out and it dies on you?  Could be frustrating.  What do you think?

Tile

Tile.  This just makes a lot of sense.  How many of us are constantly losing items around the house?  Or even anywhere outside of the house?  Well this app and device combo will potentially solve all of those problems.  The Tile app uses these small tracking devices to help you keep up with your belongings.  I think the idea is brilliant.  The only drawback I see currently is that you have to send in and recycle each one after a full year of service.  Seems a bit inconvenient, but other than that it's a great product.  You can check out the website for questions and pre-orders with the link below.

NIKE's World Cup Run

Of course the World Cup craze has begun recently and it's the talk of the town.  Nike in my opinion has been on fire with their World Cup soccer editions.  I've been so inspired by looking at their gorgeous silhouettes and use of their flyknit material.  These all look beautiful!  I tip my hat off to their design team for these.  Go Google Nike Mercurial Superfly IV, Nike WMNS Free 1.0 Cross Bionic, and Free Mercurial Superfly HTM.

Nike Kobe 9 Elite

And here it is.  The anticipated Kobe 9 Elite.  This boxing...oops, I mean basketball shoe is Kobe's next signature sneaker.  Designed by the infamous Eric Avar, the design features three of Nike's top technologies: Flywire, Flyknit, and Lunarlon.

I have to say, this shoe is not my favorite design by Eric Avar.  This has to grow on me.  I'm looking forward to seeing more colorways of it because this "Masterpiece" colorway, as Nike calls it, is a bit much.  One cool element are the red stitch lines in the rear representing Kobe's sutures of his achilles surgery.  Other than that, I'm not truly impressed by the design.

There's one thing about this design that is guaranteed.  You will either hate and love it!  What are your thoughts??  Click the link below to view more photos and read more about the story behind the design via SneakerNews.

Nike Snowboarding LunarENDOR QS

Nike is putting marketing right into their new snowboarding boot.  The LED's in the swoosh are rechargeable due to the embedded lithium-ion battery.  For those who want to make sure they are seen on the snow, this is the boot for you.  Click the link below to watch the video and view more pictures.

PEAK Team Lightning TP9 Review

PEAK!!  WE ARE COMING!!  I love being a part of this "under-the-radar" brand because our potential is so HUGE in this US market.  If you're not familiar with the brand, PEAK is one of the biggest Chinese basketball brands out there next to Li-Ning.  We have multiple signed NBA athletes. Some of our bigger names include George Hill, JaVale McGhee, Tony Parker, and Shane Battier.

What you see above is Tony Parker's signature shoe.  This shoe has been huge for our company because people are really recognizing that our technology within the shoe really works!  If you're looking for true performance, then this is the shoe for you.  Multiple great reviews have been written about it, and now one of the leaders in sneaker blogs has confirmed the hype as well.

Take a look at what CounterKicks had to say about the TP9 performance.  Also, get ready for next year...that's when some of my own personal designs will drop!

Nissan's Smartwatch

Nissan is now a part of the next revolutionary device...the smartwatch.  This is the first watch to connect driver and car together.  The watch allows you to check the vehicle's efficiency, average speed,  fuel consumption, vehicle telematics and other performance data.  This watch would only work with Nismo edition vehicles though.  All in all, this is pretty cool.  What do you think?

Dissect the Jordan Brand Technology

I just recently looked through an article CounterKicks posted about the Jordan Super.Fly 2 and Jordan XX8 technology dissected.  With pictures breaking down each component, you really get a reason why  the Jordan brand can be so expensive at times...it's because of the tooling and technology used!  Click the link below to get a grasp of what it takes to build two of their newest designs.

Newton Action/Reaction Technology

Sneaker Report has a great thing going with their KNOW YOUR TECH articles they post via their website.  Want to get up on brand's technologies and how they actually work?  This is the place for you to be.  Newton's Action/Reaction running has been described as being somewhat of a "trampoline" system where it expels the stored energy for forward propulsion.  Click the link below to read more about how the technology actually works.

Adidas SpringBlade

The picture of the up-and-coming SpringBlade from Adidas was leaked by RGIII yesterday via Twitter.  This sleek running shoe features a base of nine step-like platforms instead of the traditional foam midsole/rubber outsole.  As you see it's more of "springy blades".  Check the video to see it in action!  This is a revolutionary technology!
