The Land of $400 Sneakers

A very interesting read via Hypebeast about Brazil's streetwear and sneaker culture.  This is interesting because you get to see what it is to be a sneakerhead in a country where retail price can be twice as much as it is here in the states due to tax tariffs and shipping costs.

Other interesting point are how visible technology can showcase wealth.  Or how football apparel isn't as hot as you would think.  Take a read and learn a little more about Brazil.

Do Ho Suh's Fabric Apartments

Just pure dope.  Fabric apartments?? This installation is what art and design all about.  Exploring new realms of creation.  I simply love this type of stuff.  Click the link below to learn more and see more.

Briefly

Briefly: A short film to help inform and inspire future generations.  I found this nugget via Hypebeast today and I thought it was a great look inside how we as designers think once a brief is placed in our eyes.

Briefs can either be very inspiring and super constrictive.  This documentary will express how both sides of the coin feels to a designer.  You should take a look!

Wonderwall Film

A few days ago I posted about Wonderwall designing the interior space for KAWS in Brooklyn via Hypebeast.  Here's a video that explores not only their headquarters in Tokyo, but other clients they've designed for as well.  This is proof as to why they are the best at what they do.  Check it.

KAWS Studio by Wonderwall

Wonderwall, a Japanese architectual firm, has helped rejuvenate KAWS' studio in Brooklyn.  When I saw this today, I was completely inspired in more ways than one.  This type of work environment is something I crave to have under my possession one day.  So simple.  So intriguing.  Something a designer/artist needs on a daily basis in my eyes.  To view more of the space, click the link below!

I ran across this brand a few days ago via Hypebeast.com.  Grovemade is a company specializing in premium desktop and accessory collections.  I LOVE these types of quality, designer-friendly products.  If you feel the same you should check them out more via their website.  To make things even better, their pricing is reasonable!

The Madbury Club

The Madbury Club.  These group of guys are one of the most creatively sound team around!  Their swagger, their art direction, even their website is truly unique and original.  They have collaborated with top brands and PUMA being the most recent with the "CHAZEBRALOPE" campaign.

For anyone into the art & design world, you will really appreciate this group and what they offer to the world of art/design.  Click the link below to check video behind their PUMA collaboration and also think the video above to listen to Phillip Annand talk about what makes them tick!

Yohji Yamamoto

If you're heavy into the fashion world then you undoubtedly know the work of the legendary Yohji Yamamoto.  This 70-year old creative phenomenon is so inspiring to me!  The lines, the shapes, and material use on his creations via Y-3 (his collaboration with Adidas) have always amazed me.

I recently read on article of him with Hypebeast that I think all creative minds should tune in to read more about.  Click the link below to check it out.

Nike LeBron 11

This is slowly growing on me.  At first glimpse I couldn't get a grasp as to what was really going on with this shoe.  So many cuts and underlays.  This is definitely an eye-catcher.  If that was the goal, then mission complete.  This is said to be LeBron's lightest sneaker yet with an Armorposite upper cage, and a Lunarlon foam midsole, and full-length Zoom Air cushioning.

But the real question is, would you rock it?
