Apple Furniture

Klaus Geiger has taken the "old-school" Power Mac G5's and converted them into some beautiful, contemporary furniture. I'd love to have these in my design space.  The mix of wood and anodized aluminum has a touch that seems so natural and design-centric. What do you think?

Tile

Tile.  This just makes a lot of sense.  How many of us are constantly losing items around the house?  Or even anywhere outside of the house?  Well this app and device combo will potentially solve all of those problems.  The Tile app uses these small tracking devices to help you keep up with your belongings.  I think the idea is brilliant.  The only drawback I see currently is that you have to send in and recycle each one after a full year of service.  Seems a bit inconvenient, but other than that it's a great product.  You can check out the website for questions and pre-orders with the link below.

Swich Wireless Charger

Innovation meets timeless, elegant design.  The Swich Wireless Charger, acronym for Smartphone Wireless Charger, is pure beauty!  Made of ceramic, American Walnut, and micro-suction acrylic foam, this device is a great add to your desk for looks and functionality.  The charger stands on it's own and swivels 180 degrees for vertical or horizontal layouts for either your smartphone or tablet devices.

This design is so beautiful to me.  They are currently on Kickstarter and has surpassed their goal, but if you want one, I'd suggest you go pitch in!  Check out the link below.

Swing Toothpaste

Centrifugal force to help you get the last bit of toothpaste out of the tube.  Makes sense?  I think so.  The design was created by Sungmin Hong, Yubin Choi, Yun Kim, Mi Jang and Seokgyu Hwang of Dankook University.  Would you buy this if it was on store shelves?

O'Dea Design Concrete Charger

The goal of "creating a piece of modern art which doubles as a wireless induction charging pad" was O'Dea Design's idea.  This 12 pound, concrete base piece of art is the world's heaviest wireless cell phone charger in the world.  The minimalistic approach is pretty dope in my opinion.  What do you think?  Check the link below to view more shapes they've come up with.

One Trip Grip

Another simple, but genius idea that makes you wonder, "Why hasn't someone thought of this before??" Whether you live in a high rise within the city, or a home in the suburbs, we all face the same issue of having to take multiple trips back and forth to the car after hitting the grocery store. While we do our best to juggle 10 bags on each hand, it might be worth trying out the One Trip Grip grocery bag holder seeing that it can carry up to 50lbs.  Buy it from Amazon now!

The Shoe Game Just Changed...

Introducing the Under Armour SpeedForm.  This is the shoe that's about to change the shoe business as far as manufacturing.  The SpeedForm is basically a bra for your feet as Under Armour's Senior Director of Footwear Dave Dombrow explains.  The upper is a seamlessly construction with a heel cup made of one material.  Think of it as a comfortable pair of socks built for running.

What makes this shoe so interesting is that the upper was made in a bra factory!  Yes, that's right, a bra factory.  Why?  Because that industry specializes in making products that fit the body comfortably.  Nice approach to solving performance issues with running shoes.  Needless to say I WILL be buying these in late June.  Will you?  Click the link below to read up on this!

New XBox One

The all-black motif is refined and sleek, giving the Xbox One a slightly more serious vibe than the 360. TV Integration is the name of the game for the console.  Skype calls, cable feeds, HDMI...it's all there.

But as a designer, I was curious as to why they decided to go so "boxy".  Instead of going thinner, smaller, or lighter they went the total opposite.  Click the video above to view why they decided to go into the direction they did.
