Nike Reveals Recovered Email

If you haven't heard about the BIG NIKE lawsuit against three of their biggest designers Marc Dolce, Denis Dekovic, and Mark Miner you need to catch up! Only because this news is shaking up the footwear industry right now.

Nike is basically claiming that the trio when leaving to Adidas, took sensitive information to their rival.  In the latest news, they have obtained some emails and text.  YIKES!  Click the link below to read up on what's going down.

The Hundreds has posted an article breaking down Brand Black's mission in the footwear industry.  David Raysse and Billy Dill and the brains behind the brand's direction and they have a very "pure" vision of what will make this brand unique.

I found this video via YouTube today and thought it'd be a great lesson for aspiring footwear designer.  The making of a last is SUPER important when it comes to footwear design.  The last will be basis of the silhouette of the shoe, or shape of the shape.  If you want a sleek toe profile, wider base, or a certain heel height...all of these depend on the last!  Take a look inside of Tsubo to see how they build a last from scratch.

The Q.DESIGNS "What If" Series

For those that follow me via Instagram have seen this, but for those that haven't...this is part 1 of the Q.DESIGNS "What If" Series.  I wanted to start a design series of shoes that would basically ask the question, "What if Q.DESIGNS was given the opportunity to collaborate with different footwear companies to revamp some of their most popular styles?"

The first shoe up was the Air Jordan 8.  The shoe to me is a classic so I wouldn't change it dramatically.  Slight pattern and outsole changes, added patent leather, different collar shape, and a cool graphic insole.

This is the first shoe, stay tuned for the next!
