The Land of $400 Sneakers
A very interesting read via Hypebeast about Brazil's streetwear and sneaker culture. This is interesting because you get to see what it is to be a sneakerhead in a country where retail price can be twice as much as it is here in the states due to tax tariffs and shipping costs.
Other interesting point are how visible technology can showcase wealth. Or how football apparel isn't as hot as you would think. Take a read and learn a little more about Brazil.

A Breakdown of Kanye West's Footwear Influence
Sneakers News has broken down sneaker-by-sneaker why Kanye has been a big influence in the sneaker culture....and I'd have to agree with every point they made. Kanye West is simply one of the biggest influencers in pop AND sneaker culture. He's swagger and style always filters down into mainstream America. If it wasn't for him, most of these high fashion footwear brands wouldn't be on the map. Click the link below to read more in depth about it.

Yohji Yamamoto
If you're heavy into the fashion world then you undoubtedly know the work of the legendary Yohji Yamamoto. This 70-year old creative phenomenon is so inspiring to me! The lines, the shapes, and material use on his creations via Y-3 (his collaboration with Adidas) have always amazed me.
I recently read on article of him with Hypebeast that I think all creative minds should tune in to read more about. Click the link below to check it out.

The Adidas D Rose 4
Adidas' Basketball Footwear Manager Jack Gray sat down with Sole Collector to discuss some of the technology and aesthetic inspirations for Derrick Rose's come back shoe, the D Rose 4. I really love the direction of this shoe and especially the story behind it's two-tone exterior...makes perfect sense. I'm just excited to see how well Derrick Rose actually performs in them. Adidas SpringBlade
The picture of the up-and-coming SpringBlade from Adidas was leaked by RGIII yesterday via Twitter. This sleek running shoe features a base of nine step-like platforms instead of the traditional foam midsole/rubber outsole. As you see it's more of "springy blades". Check the video to see it in action! This is a revolutionary technology!

Top 10 Basketball Sneakers Since 2000
I ran across this article posted by DIME Magazine a few days ago and found it very interesting. Interesting because seeing these Top 10 sneakers brought back so many memories and excitement when they first dropped.
Note that the original date this article was published was in September of 2012, so of course there should be more recently releases added to the list. I can tell you for sure the KD II looks hideous compared to the signature line Kevin Durant has now! So much growth! Click the link below to see the count down and watch the videos to throw you back in time.
