The Q.DESIGNS "What If" Series

For those that follow me via Instagram have seen this, but for those that haven't...this is part 1 of the Q.DESIGNS "What If" Series.  I wanted to start a design series of shoes that would basically ask the question, "What if Q.DESIGNS was given the opportunity to collaborate with different footwear companies to revamp some of their most popular styles?"

The first shoe up was the Air Jordan 8.  The shoe to me is a classic so I wouldn't change it dramatically.  Slight pattern and outsole changes, added patent leather, different collar shape, and a cool graphic insole.

This is the first shoe, stay tuned for the next!

Dissect the Jordan Brand Technology

I just recently looked through an article CounterKicks posted about the Jordan Super.Fly 2 and Jordan XX8 technology dissected.  With pictures breaking down each component, you really get a reason why  the Jordan brand can be so expensive at times...it's because of the tooling and technology used!  Click the link below to get a grasp of what it takes to build two of their newest designs.

Tinker Hatfield Interview

A great interview by Design Boom with the legendary Tinker Hatfield explaining his history at Nike and thought process behind some of his infamous designs.  I've always respected Tinker and his revolutionary thinking and unique skill set.  Click the link below to read up on this legend's story.
